Gentle, Easy to Handle, Registered Red Angus Cattle

Nestled in ‘God’s Country’, St Peters, Indiana, at Blue Creek Cattle Company we manage for wildlife as much as we manage for livestock. We are a small family owned and operated farm, est. 1976, and have been blessed with having Registered Red Angus Cattle in a spring cow/calf rotation since 2005. Through countless experiences, our Red Angus have proven to be more docile and easier to handle than other breeds of cattle. Red Angus are the perfect breed for the first time cattle owner. At Blue Creek Cattle Company, we breed for temperament.

Red Angus cattle are also excellent graziers and a good breed for grass-fed production. We follow Management-intensive Grazing principles to manage our herd and pastures. We feel that this not only produces a healthier herd but also a healthier land. Management-intensive Gazing helps us manage fly control as well as builds the organic matter and microbes in our soils. In turn providing drought protection with deep grass roots of nutrients and water furled. We also use mixtures of Apple Cider Vinegar, mineral oil, and do TERRA essential oils to assist in our fly control program. We have a very happy herd. Our Red Angus thrive in this environment and we are proud of our efforts to preserve the land for future generations.
